Gurpegi gets 2 year ban

The Athletic Bilbao midfielder has been at the centre of a protracted case since testing positive for nandrolone nearly four years ago.

Athletic have published a statement on their website, expressing their "absolute disagreement with the decision and with the arguments that brought it about."

The club stands by Gurpegi, continuing to protest his innocence, and have called a press conference for Tuesday.
