During the 30-minute procedure, the 28-year old defender had necrotic tissue excised.
Team doctor Chris Annunziata, MD performed the operation at Commonwealth Orthopaedic Associates. The rehabilitation process is expected to take between four and six months.
“Though we’re disappointed that John will be lost for the season, he has been a steady performer throughout his tenure in D.C.,” said United Technical Director Dave Kasper.
“We look forward to him being back to full health and being able to contribute again.” |
