Adelaide say they have clinched Romario signing

"Its my understanding a deal has been done between Romario and Adelaide and the view is that (although he is the wrong side of 40) he remains a genuine superstar of the game," he told the Daily Telegraph.

"We know Adelaide have assessed his form and fitness. They are happy with that and so are we. Its obvious he would provide a quality for the club and the competition as a whole. His record is superb over the years and unlike Collymore (out of action for over four years) hes been playing this year and last and is still scoring goals."
