Drogba's extra time strike seems to have buoyed what has been a dissapointing season for the Blues.

Mpurinho revealed that the board have said they want him to stay and that he want to say and therefore sees no reason why he will not kick off their next season at the helm of the club. He also insisted that Chelsea were deserved winners even though Manchester United had the lions share of possesion. He mulled over how hard a season he has had which has seen him struggle with injuried yet walk away with two trophies, and reach the semi-final of the Champions Leauge whilst also finish second place in the Premiership.

Shortly after Lampard made similar pledges to the club after a season of speculation over possible transfers. He claimed the team was his team and he wants to stay at the club forever.

Meanwhile Giggs was still happy with his season saying that winning the Premiership was a dream for the Red Devils. However he has got next seasons FA Cup in his sights saying that he the team is forever improving and may well be on course for the treble that alluded them this year.

Ferguson pinned the blame on fatigue. he also said the pitch was slow which did not enble them to use the break-away's that saw them clinch the title this year.
