Arsenal 2-1 Lazio

He fired in the first goal of a 2-1 victory over Italian team Roma to kick off the Amsterdam tournament. Bendtner also staked his claim for his first senior call up with a superb chip over the keeper to mark a fabulous pre-season for the striker. The goal for Roma came just before half time and was the Italian clubs equaliser. The goal was scored by Goran Pandev.

This win gives Arsenal five points in a trophy where you get additional points for goals scored which puts the Gunners in pole position for the cup.
