Baines getting close to Everton debut

The former Wigan Left-back trained with his new teammates for the first time on Monday and is believed to be well on the road to recovery. Everton play Tottenham tonight and it is widely believed that Nuno Valente will take the left-back position for the game.

Moyes however was keen to point out that Baines has fit into the club infrastructure very easily and is already one of the team in his eyes.

Everton are hoping to continue therir winning run at White Hart Lane after winning their last year for the first time in 21 years. The squad recieved a boost with news that striker James McFadden is now fit to play.
