Curbishley a Bowyer fan

Bowyers first goal in 35 games for the club earned his side a 1-1 draw with Wigan on Saturday. The game looked dead after Scharner's unbelievable over head kick but Bowyer came on with 12 minutes to go and brought the Hammers a point.

Curbishley was keen to point out Bowyers determination and the fact that he has had to battle for a place with Luis Boa Morte. He also praised him for the speed that he came back from injury last season.

Bowyer originally joined West Ham on loan from Newcastle but made his move permanant in the Summer.
