| Six Nigerian players die in road crash
Six players of Nigerian non-league club Wunti FC of Bauchi have died in a car accident in northern Nigeria.
Secretary-general of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) Fanny Amun confirmed the accident, saying that it occurred in Durum near Bauchi when Wunti were on their way to Kano for a national amateur league fixture against Bank of the North Football Club.
Wunti were one of Nigerias leading sides before the advent of professional football in the country in 1990. |
