totally agree, something drastic needs to be done.

thing is though, the SFA are useless, the SPL are useless and the SFL are useless. taking three useless bodies and creating a single, competent one is going to be a challenge. none of them will want to give up their roles, so the compromise will just result in a huge SFA with all the beurocrats from the SPL and SFL in there too. the Scottish pairlament won't be able to sort them out either, since they're useless as well!

we need to start again from scratch really. sadly, the Scottish Pairlament is the only body capable of installing any kind of new regime in Scottish football. they need to set down framework which will allow a new governing body to be formed, incorporating running of the Premier Leage, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd divisions and the Juniors, as well as the national team, youth development and a few other issues. problem is, it'd take about 10 years to set up and get it running, since all the current suits would be against it, and the pairlament would solve the problem of forming three-into-one by creating half a dozen QUANGOs and committees to set the framework. then all the jobs would go to the SFA, SPL and SFL boys, since they're the ones with the experience.

what's needed is a national campaign, ideally led by some respected Scottish Football figures, with popular backing. which isn't us, sadly.

what we can do though, is write to our MSPs. probably achieve nothing, but it might get some questions asked in Pairlament, you never know. http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/msp/index.htm
