| Shaktar Donetsk coach fined for using bad language Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu has been fined $5,000 for using bad language during a league match, the Professional Football League (PFL) said on Wednesday.
A PFL statement said the "blunt language" of Lucescu and another Shakhtar official in the match against Vorskla Poltava on 9 September "attracted the attention of the fourth official on several occasions and a report was made to the Ukrainian soccer federation".
Shakhtar won the match 1-0 and are currently top of the Ukrainian league. They will also be looking for a victory in the UEFA Champions League next week against Olympiakos Piraeus after starting their Champions League Group D campaign with a 4-0 defeat at AS Roma last week. |
