The defensive line is basically the line of players made up of the defence.

The sidelines are as the name suggust the lines down the sides of the pitch. I think the pitch is about the same as a Soccer pitch.

Mmmmm well i tend to play as a wide reciever. As im fairly muscular (ARROGANCE ALERT), Tall and im a goalkeeper in Soccer so im good with my hands. But i have been in the field behind my house playing a few American Football games and i have played Quaterback. Sucks though. I can throw it correctly. Nowhere near the distance needed to be good. But its a boring position.

I think the key is the release. Imagine if you put your four fingers and thumb on the ball to grip it.

If you place them all together then on the release you can only spin a small area of the ball because they aint wide enough. How ever if you can grip as much the ball as possible you can spin either end of the ball. But like i said i aint no Quaterback expert.
