McGeady's International Defection

I don't know if many of you realise this.

Celtic's young player, Aiden McGeady is Scottish by birth although he had been playing for Ireland's international youth/schoolboy setup.

With his recent performances in the league and CL we can see that he is a class player that would be a great addition to Scotland.

However, Aiden has decided to play for Ireland and Scotland lose a quality young player to pick from. Some will cite sectarianism for his reason to play for Ireland. But if you are Scottish you play for Scotland, this is my view.

My question, do you agree with his decision and why? Should players be allowed to play for National sides other than the country they were born in.

I am a definite no
