| Maldini pondering retirement AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini is considering retiring from the game at the end of the season.
The 38-year-old has been a key player for the Rossoneri since making his Serie A debut in 1985, but the centre-half can see the finishing line in sight.
"For the time being everything is okay," said Maldini on the club's official TV channel.
"I am playing regularly and that was my aim at the start of the season.
"But if I was to think now about what I will do in the month of June, the idea would be to retire.
"I could change my mind, but at this time of the season that is my idea. In June I will be 39 and it's way past the age of retirement for a player."
Maldini, Italy's most capped player, is under contract with Milan until next summer and has made nine league appearances out of a possible 12 this campaign.
