| Novo believes Glasgow final is a possibility for Rangers Nacho Novo insists there is no reason why Rangers cannot progress all the way to the UEFA Cup final.
The Spanish striker maintained his goal-a-game scoring record in the group stages of the competition to inspire Rangers to a 2-2 draw in Auxerre last night.
He cancelled out Ireneusz Jelens opener, before Kris Boyd levelled the scoreline again after Daniel Niculae had restored Auxerres lead.
And the point was enough to guarantee Rangers a place in the last 32 of the competition.
The UEFA Cup final will be held in Glasgow and Novo, 27, believes it would be fitting if Rangers managed to claim a starring role at the showpiece.
"If we play together as a team like we did tonight and if we all work hard for each other for 90 minutes then there is every chance," he said.
"The final is at Hampden and it would be great to play in Glasgow in a European final. If we play with the passion we have then I would say: Why not?" |
