| the games for the ps3 will only continue to get better. Here in the states, of course they've sold out, but it looks like half of them are on eBay, Craigslist.org or in the local newspapers with big mark-ups. People are hoping to make some money and it seems like no one is bitting. LOL
The current crop of PS3 games are not taking advantage of the full capabilities of the PS3 hardware. Plus, you need an HDTV that displays 1080p (no games offer that right now). It will take time for developers but the PS3 sounds like it's very difficult to code for.
The Wii...I think is a joke and Nintendo is pushing their controller really hard in their ads. They have to make up for the lack of technology the Wii has. You get what you pay for and for $250, you don't get much compared to the 360 or the PS3.
You also have to realize that the PS3 is the lowest priced Blu-Ray player on the market.
Sony is also taking anywhere from a $285 to $305 loss on each unit sold. Sony needs to sell a ton of units quickly over the next couple of years and get those game developers to pump out as many games as possible.
I for one went from a Super Nintendo to a PS2....I think I can wait several years before I upgrade to something better. The PS3 is just cost too much and I can't justify spending that kind of money right now. |
