Schalke open up a 6 point gap at the top with a 2-0 win at home against Hertha Berlin , Werder Bremen were thrashed 4-1 by 3rd placed Stuttgart whilst Bayern Munich recorded their first win of 2007 but they struggled to a 1-0 home win over Arminia Bielefeld.
