| Alves an injury doubt for the weekend Sevilla right back Daniel Alves suffered an ankle injury in Brazil's friendly match against Ghana and is a serious doubt for the Liga clash with Osasuna at the weekend.
"He has suffered a sprain in his left ankle and also acute tendonitis in his leg," Sevilla doctor Adolfo Munoz revealed. "In both cases the injuries are slight.
"The player is a doubt to play against Osasuna and we will have to wait to see how it develops."
Alves has been electric attacking from deep this season as the Sevillistas challenge champions Barcelona for the league title. He clearly feels himself that he will feature in the away fixture: "It doesn't bother me. I'm fine."
Meanwhile goalkeeper Andres Palop and current Liga top-scorer Freddy Kanoute have shaken off knocks and should be fit for the match in Pamplona, a weight off coach Juande Ramos' mind.
The club are second in the table but only on the head-to-head rule as they have the same number of points as leaders Barca, who face Deportivo at the Camp Nou. |
