In an amazing turn around in Spain , Real Madrid who have faced heavy critisism all season now look set to win yet another championship.
In a thrilling game on saturday Real beat Uefa cup finalists Espanyol 4-3 .
A Pandiani hat-trick gave Espanyol a 3-1 half time lead but second half goals from Raul , Reyes & Higuain gave Real the win that sent them top.
Barcelona missed the chance to regain top spot yesterday as they were held 1-1 in the Camp Nou by Real Betis, thanks to a last minute equaliser by Rafael Sobis for the team from Seville.
Sevilla kept their championship hopes alive with a 2-1 win over this years suprise packet Recreativo Huelva.

1st Real Madrid 66pts , 2nd Barcelona 66, 3rd Sevilla 64, 4th Valencia 62.
Still 4 games to go in Spain but Real Madrid are the form team and I'd be suprised if they don't win it now.
