| i think in general, to be honest, you've got a lot of w****rs as a travelling support. i'm not saying all English people are w****rs, before you accuse me of that, but some of them are, and those are the ones that get you all a bad name.
they're the kind of people who go abroad, go to a bar and SHOUT LOUDLY IN ENGLISH instead of learning simple phrases in the appropriate language. they're the kind of people who firmly believe that their side is the best in the world, and that they, the fans, are the best in the world, and all the other fans should **** off, because Enger-lund are going to win - and of course the team drop out of the competition, and the fans are not happy campers. they're the kind of people who have no respect for their hosts, and drunkenly shout, swear, throw bottles and generally annoy the locals. they're the kind of people who are interviewed by the BBC after an altercation between the England fans and whichever group of foreign fans they've been chanting at, then say things like "they dunt understand that we're proud to be English." and "they dunt no wot its like ter be proud of yer country, innit?" as if they are the only nation on earth with a patriotic support. meanwhile, during this interview, half a dozen other w****rs jump around at the back, swearing and waving England flags, immensely pleased with themselves that they managed to look like a moronic, pissed-up tw*t for two-and-a-half seconds on BBC1.
many of them have absolutely no class, to put it bluntly. they're extremely poor ambassadors for the country, and nothing is done to combat them.
the Tartan Army tends to police itself, and anyone behaving badly will often be told to desist by their compatriots. this is because the Tartan Army learned that you have a much better time abroad if you're welcome, and getting into fights and acting like w****rs isn't a good way to ensure that.
that's the England fans abroad, of course. at home your media continue to annoy us up here - and no doubt a large proportion of the Welsh - with the constant 1966 references. we all know you won it once, we get it. |
