| Resino re-signs at Levante
Levante coach Abel Resino has extended his contract by a season after ensuring Primera Division safety, the club announced on their website.
The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper took charge of the Valencia-based side after the sacking of Juan Ramon Lopez Caro following a poor run of results that left them hovering just above the relegation zone.
The 47-year-old Castile-born former Spain international spent most of his playing career in the Madrid area, with Toledo, Atletico and a season at Rayo Vallecano, and became a first-team coach last season when he almost took Murcia to Spain's top flight. He took the reigns at Levante in January after the surprise sacking of former Real Madrid boss Lopez Caro.
Levante lie 15th and cannot finish any lower with one game to play in La Liga. |
