Milan in

Milan have been given permission to play in the Chapion's Leauge. I really don't understand this. Why do Italy keep bottling it.

It has gone a little way to putting it right but the Italians are the only ones with previous similar to this. It happend back in 1980/81 with Paulo Rossi being sent to jail just getting out a few weeks before WC Spain '82.

If they really wanted it to stop the bribes and scandal they should not have backed down from the initial punishment. It only serves to encourage more of the same if the authorities are seen to be weak.

It was 20 years ago but it shows that they have still not addressed the problem. They have had ample time to do something but the Italians are again found guilty of this.

The last team that I remember this happening to was Marseille in bribing referees on their way to the European Cup final, they were relegated and heavily fined.

This should be no different.
