Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is still confident that his side will qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

I didnt even know that he was there. Wern't Barcelona intrested atopne point

I cant remember how much he left for, but i heard that Ajax were practically mugged in the deal.

I could never understand why he chose Germany and in particular Hamburg, he was supposedly courted by Italian and Spanish clubs, which would have been a better career move.

i must admit i thought he would have ended up in Italy but don't knock the Bundesliga . it may not be the most glamorous but it boasts the largest average attendence for league games in Europe (yes even more than the Premiership). Then again Hamburg???????????
