West Ham would need a huge investment to get into the Champions League but anything is possible. There is a huge fan base and there are a lot more investors looking to plough their money into football these days, ala Chelsea, Villa, Man Utd and others. Anything is possible.

But for underdogs I would take Bremen. Lyon would be ahead but I wouldn't class them as underdogs, they should be on the shortlist as one the teams capable of winning it.

I agree it would take an Abrabovic type figure to get West Ham into the CL, I also agree that Lyon can not be classed underdogs they are now one of Europes top teams .

west ham just can't achieve more than survive the drop this season. Pardew seems to have lost his nerves when the two Argentine came.

I think it is virtually impossible for West Ham or even Tottenham to become a major force in european football in the forseeable future , I don't know of any city with more than 2 big successful teams.
20 years ago London's big 2 were Arsenal and Tottenham, but Spurs have been superseeded by Chelsea.

i think spurs are going to get 8th this season there not doing good enough they are reli going to improve to do better than that 5th at best
