Ronaldinho fears Bremen more than Chelsea

Ronaldinho says he fears Werder Bremen more than Chelsea ahead of the new Champions League campaign. The three teams have all been drawn together along with Levski Sofia in Group A for the opening stages. But Ronaldinho, who delivered the killer blow to Chelseas European hopes last season, reckons theyre only the third best team in the group.

He told Germanys Sport Bild: "The team that deserves all the respect to me is Werder Bremen. They have Miroslav Klose who is for me one of the best forwards in the world." Ronaldinho also believes Werder have pulled off a masterstroke by signing his compatriot Diego, and doesnt fear facing Jose Mourinhos Blues in the opening stage.

"It is better to meet them now rather than in the knockout stages because a defeat is not decisive. With Shevchenko and Ballack they are stronger than last year, but with Zambrotta, Thuram and Saviola and Gudjohnsen weve also strengthened. Well have to see what happens."

have you ever considered this really is his opinion. I think Bremen have every much a chance as Chelsea. Bremen are a more than dedent side. Barca will be quite confident about facing Chelsea, who, apart from winning a few Premiership titles, have still a long way to go before they are considered a truly great team.

I think that he is trying to make Barca fans aware of Bremen's credentials before the game, as it will be a difficult one. Bremen are a more than decent side, and a dangerous one at that. All the Barca fans know about the Chelsea side and how dangerous they are.

Thats exactly what he's trying to do. The group isn't a forgone conclusion and Bremen still has what it takes to qualify for the second round.

Bremen are a very strong team. Will be an intresting game tonight versus Chelsea, especially cos I think their confidence is a bit knocked.
