McGeady seemed to suffer from stage fright and didn't once dip the shoulder and go by a player. With Maloney back to full fitness and breathing down his neck, McGeady might live to rue not performing last night.

Maloney's 23 and is already a great player with more to come. Promises to go on and become a great flair player for both Scotland and Celtic. Had a tremendous season last year.

Agree with that.

The whole occasion seemed to be too much for him, hopefully he will learn from this. I could remember Maloney having games like this when he first came on the scene.

Sometimes great ability isn't enough to be a top player as there is a mental toughness and arrogance required to handle the big occassion. McGeady has the first part but doesn't seem to have the second part. Maloney, on the other hand, definitely has both.

he's a typical winger i.e a confidence player. Last season he had all the tricks but no end product. He's improved on that this season but he still annonymous sometimes , especially in the big games.

I think that Maloney will be first choice in the next CL game so you should get to see him then. He doesn't have some of the tricks of McGeady but Maloney will produce more and do it more often than McGeady.

Maloney is more direct than McGeady. I can see them playing in the same side once Nakamura goes as they are't really that similar. In a few years time these guys will be the main attcking threats from midfeild.

I don't think he is at that level yet, but there will be Premiership clubs interested in him soon enough
