vCash: 500 | Congratulations to the Bhoys on a job (against an excellent team i may add) very well done last night. Miller was fantastic and it was pleasing that we showed a Latin team us Scots can play the passing game as well. This squad seems stronger in depth than even (dare i say it?) Martin O'Neill's squad. Plus points all round. We have shown we can compete with the best and that in European games, Parkhead is one of the most intimidating grounds to visit. After all we did what the likes of Man U and Liverpool failed to do. However, i'm under no illusions of of how tough the task is that lies ahead in Lisbon. At least we can go into that game with some confidence. |

vCash: 500 | not only is that the minimum we need ,i'm now confident we can achieve that at the very least. I'm very confident we can score over there and i think Benfica will have a new found respect for us as i think not only did they underestimate us they didn't expect us to play a short passing game. I predict a scoring draw as they will definitely come at us in Lisbon and as a result they will leave themselves exposed at the back. |

vCash: 460 | Yep, it was a great night and a fantastic performance. We must now go to Benfica and play with confidence because we are a good team, no matter who comes in we have the depth of squad that keeps us at a high level, albeit not with at the top clubs' in England. I hope the both Chelsea & Liverpool are successful tonight too! Quote:

vCash: 500 | i'll definitely back Liverpool, nice city' nice people. remind of Glasgow in a lot of ways. Plus Celtic and Liverpool do have a special relationship, one of the nicer aspwects of football. As for Chelsea, well they have always , to me anyway, represented the elite in London, they don't have a great history and then there is the whinge bag that is mourinho. Both games should be great though |

vCash: 500 | does anyone know the crime count last night? I honestly think Benfica committed at least 20 fouls against Celtic and yet received only 1 booking. This goes back to what i said in the Les Bleu thread about refs and their attitude towards British teams.Miller was kicked all over the park, with one benfica player fouling him at least 6 times, yet he wasn't booked for persistent fouling. In fairness the ref did try to let the game flow but he has to be consistent with his punishments. Still, we showed them we are a more than decent team |

vCash: 515 | in fairness Stiles it's a tough group and Celtic are still a young and developing team. They did surpass even the pundits expectations last night. It was good to put these sometimes arrogant continentals in their place. |

vCash: 515 | i must admit, i dont get 2 c much spl action and i didn't think they had that performance in them but fair play it was a good result. Surprised no Premiership teams came in for Miller b4 he left Wolves |

vCash: 500 | even i didn't think Miller would be this good. as we haven't had many players to shout about in the 15 years we tend to talk up anyone with any talent but he has proven himself at every level recently. We are not getting carried away but equaly we are looking good and i believe we will qualify in 2nd place |

vCash: 500 | you would have seen more him at Wolves than us and it looks like your faith in him was justified last nifght. he was outstanding. As usual if he was a Spaniard or Brazilian etc.... they would have been signing his praises but as he is Scottish the media (apart from Scotland) haven't made too much about his performance. |

vCash: 500 | i agree, that would be the standard of premiership team that would br interested but there is know way (unless he was out of favour) that he would leave a MASSIVE club like Celtic for Portsmouth |

vCash: 500 | If Celtic can take all three points mext tiem they are guaranteed through. Its basically their spot to lose, but if they start celebrating now they could lose it. Good game from Celtic, but without taking any credit away from them, I have to ask, WTF what is the matter with Benfica? |

vCash: 500 | you have to say we looked very capable against benfica for a team that were missing a couple of vital players. I thought we were due a couple of extra goals from the game but didnt finish the chances. Alot of Celtic fans, including myself, who doubted Gordon Strachan and Lee Naylor are having to eat humble pie because Strachans team is an exstremly exciting team to watch and is also getting the results. And Lee Naylor looks like the best left back we've had in years. I think we are looking good to go through but the real test of this team will come in the away ggames. We have a great record at home but have only picked up 1 point in the past. Albeit this was against Barcelona. |

vCash: 500 | Celtic really need to get thier finger out and get some players on some long term deals. Maloney being the most important, but also McGeady and stephen mcmanus to make sure that teams dont try to poach them. while i,m i'm dining at the humble resteraunt i also have to say that i had my doubts about gary caldwell. but over the last couple of weeks i have been exstremely impressed by his performances. |

vCash: 500 | quite a few of us are dining at the humble restaurant and yes we seriously have to stop dragging our feet regarding some of vital players contracts. As for playing in the Premiership, i'll voice my opinion on that matter in a new thread. Cheers for the idea Theo |
