UEFA Champions League: bet Chelsea

Chelsea v FC Porto k.o. Tues 19.45

Chelsea Too Strong For Porto

Chelsea go into the 2nd leg of their Champions League tie against Porto in pole position after the 1:1 draw in Portugal.

Porto are top of the table in Portugal, four-points clear of arch-rivals Benfica following Saturday's 1:0 victory at home to Braga.

Jose Mourinho made his name with Porto of course, winning the Champions League in 2004 with a final victory over Monaco. This is a very different team though and even though Chelsea will be missing injured captain John Terry, they should have enough quality to go through, although it is unlikely to be easy.

Didider Drogba has been in excellent form this season and with the likes of Frank Lampard and Michael Ballack always liable to pop up with a goal, a wiining margin of two goals looks a distinct possibility, with Porto needing to chase the game should they fall behind.

That suggests that the bet here could be on the Handicap, with bet365 quoting Chelsea -1 at 13-10, ensuring a winning punt for any victory by a margin of more than one goal.

Andy

I find it funny how the two players that everyone was criticizing all year teamed up for thier winning goal. Shevchenko made an unselfish header to Ballack and he smashed it into the net for the Blues...

They both have looked a lot better as of late.
