vCash: 480 | Magilton rues defensive display Jim Magilton described his Ipswich side's defending as 'atrocious' following the disappointing 4-0 defeat at West Brom on Saturday. The Town boss was left bemused by the hefty defeat at the Hawthons given that his side dominated proceedings for at least 42 minutes of the game. Indeed Ipswich were only losing 1-0 and still in the game with three minutes remaining before shipping three quick goals to the Baggies. Goalkeeper Neil Alexander and left back Dan Harding were singled out for a large portion of the blame as Magilton was left wondering how his side failed to score in the game. He told the Evening Star: "It was atrocious defending. The goalkeeper and left back will not be happy with their defending and we conceded goals that could have been avoided. |
