Frank back for Terriers

Frank Sinclair is expected to return to Huddersfield's starting line-up for the visit of Oldham.

The former Chelsea, Leicester and Burnley defender missed last Sunday's defeat at Doncaster through a one-game ban.

David Mirfin could make way for the experienced Sinclair, with Nathan Clarke partnering on-loan Richard Keogh at central defence and young Joe Skarz at full-back.

Chris Brandon returned last week from an ankle injury and should retain his place, while Danny Schofield is pressing for a return to the starting line-up after impressing for the reserves in midweek.

Aaron Hardy will miss out due to an ankle injury and Jon Worthington is still sidelined with a stomach injury.

Luke Beckett and Danny Cadamarteri are likely to continue up front as the Terriers chase their first win in four matches.

Goalkeeper Marlon Beresford is set to make his Oldham debut after joining on loan from Luton.

Latics boss John Sheridan has signed the 38-year-old stopper on a month-long loan deal to cover for the injured Mark Crossley (thigh) and Les Pogliacomi (knee).

Defender Kevin Lomax could also come into contention after returning from a loan spell at League Two Rochdale.

Strikers Lee Hughes (double hernia) and Lewis Alessandra (fractured metatarsal) are fit again, but unlikely to start, while defender Neal Eardley has returned unscathed from international duty with Wales.

Another defender Stefan Stam is back in training after three months out with a torn hamstring, but he will not feature against the Terriers.

Striker Michael Ricketts serves a one-game suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the 1-1 draw with Cheltenham.
