vCash: 480 | Burley issues hands off Bale warning George Burley has warned the Premiership vultures to keep their hands off Southampton starlet Gareth Bale after the teenager scored his second wonder-goal in four days. Bale, 17, rattled in a superb free-kick for the second match in succession as Southampton beat Coventry 2-0 in the 100th match at St Marys. The left-back, Wales youngest-ever international, was linked with Liverpool and Spurs before signing a two-year deal with Saints in the summer. Burley said: Our hands were tied when Theo Walcott left for Arsenal. There was nothing we could do to keep him but Gareth signed a contract in the summer and we want him to stay. The big clubs will not be getting him and the chairman will tell you that. Gareth, and his parents, feel he is in the best possible place to develop and that is the most important thing. He has only just turned 17 and is growing in confidence with every game. |

vCash: 500 | Tippin him to be a better prospect than Theo Walcott - he does look good but 2 games dosnt make him great - i mean the lad could go on a right Weston-Super-Mare now and not produce for the rest if the season - highly unlikely but who knows? the lad is 17 -years-old qith a bright future infront of him - Burley is right to come out and protect him and warn other rivals off - if only the likes of Theo Walcott listened to Burleys words instead of thinkin he would walk straight into the door @ Arsenal Its not just there tho - i mean look @ the likes of Shaun Wright Phillips he had the chance to stay and play regular football every week but those to be a bench warmer @ Chelsea basically wastin 2 years of his career - also goin back on the likes of promisin striker David Bellion he could of done the same as Wright Phillips for Sunderland - ok so it would of been in the Championship but it would of been more experience for him and then think about a move |
