Paul Sturrock Sacked!

I am absolutely gutted! Our chairman (Dave Allen) does absolutely nothing for the club! He hardly puts any money in and then sacks our good managers and, you watch, we'll end up with a manager that is garbage now!

WE WANT STURROCK BACK!

ALLEN OUT!

Sturrock hasnt really done very well though...

ive got to admit Allen isnt helping hes not putting a lot of money to help the club

I dont really agree with that. I think that Sturrock has gone a great job in charge as, when he took over, we were mid-table in League 1 and within 8 months we were in the Championship.

As a season ticket holder, I feel that before the last 2 matches, the performances have been there but the results hasn't. It has really just been the last 2 matches when the perfomances were not there, and in one of them we got a win!

Yes, I agree that the last 2 or 3 games have been poor but you dont sack you manager just because you have played poorly in the last 3 matches do you?

youve got to look at the history of that manager and what hes done for the club and they didnt do that

He has done really well considering the fact that he has had literally no money to spend!

Yes! That is the reason for him not to be sacked! He is alot better than Chris Turner, Terry Yorath and them lot!

What's made me angry also is that he signed a 4 year contract 3 weeks ago!

What is the chairman doing? Why give him a contract if he has already set his mind on sacking him.

your chairman seems to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic. He's been in the papers stating that the manager had money to spend and the squad was subsequently strengthened. Smells like s**te to me. Were the majority of Owls behind Sturrock?

i'd seriously question your chairman's business acumen after he allowed Sturrock to sign a contract extention to then subsequently fire him costing the club hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation. Must have the club accountant reaching for the valium

Sheff Wed are will get nowhere if they are giving 4 year contracts out like this and then changing his mind. He must have felt that it was for the good of the club, has there been a clash between Sturrock and anyone at the club recently?

Is this thing had been trailing for a long time? I mean whether that Sturrock had been on the chopping board for a long time already or this is a split second incident?

more than likely as the modern chairman seems to like the hands on approach and think they actually know something about team matters (just ask mr Romanov). Can't wait for the Owls to get back into top league where they belong. So many teams from my youth aren't in the Premiership. When you are growing up you think all these teams will always be there. Sat nights when i was younger at my nana's waiting for the evening times (Glasgow paper) to check out the English results .oh and then match of the day. ah nostalgia
