Burnley boosted by Harley news

Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has revealed Jon Harleys foot injury is not as bad as first feared.

Initially there were concerns Harley had broken in his foot in the 3-0 loss at West Brom last weekend.

But scans have revealed that is not the case and the former Chelsea and Fulham man even has a chance of featuring against Birmingham at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Cotterill said: "It isnt broken which is a massive bonus to us. Jon was in pain over the weekend and hes got better as the weeks gone on. I wouldnt bet against him being out there at the weekend because while hes not the biggest lad, hes a tough boy and hes game. The big blessing for us is that it isnt broken."
