For me, the championship needs Leeds to be right in there for the sake of attractive, big matches. I must admit to wanting Doncaster to pull through to cap a remarkable journey these last 5 - 6 years. Although my heart says Donny my head says Leeds.

As for the Championship playoff. I can only see this going Hull's way, although I do fear for all 3 teams promoted to the premiership. I think even Derby's fantastic achievements could be under threat next season .

A mate of mine ( a Rochdale supporter ) is working in Saudi right now & will miss Rochdale's first slice of glory in almost 40 years. Having been in the lowest league since 1974 he's not best pleased to be missing out tomorow.

what do you think to commins moving down the a52, seems strange to me as forest still seem the better option and to go on a free to your most hated rivals sol campbell at least had the decency to better himself.

I was convinced this move would never happen. Commons is a Nottingham lad through & through plus a 'dyed in the wool' Forest supporter. For him to go to Derby has got to be purely financial. Apparently they are putting on the table 9k a week. I'm not sure how much we were willing to pay him but I would imagine it's something similar.......One things a cast iron certainty....he'll be assured of a "warm" reception on his return to the CG

i suspect he might be injured for that game, i can't really get my head round if i'm honest, forest legend gary birtles said in his coloumn for the ep that commins shouldn't be branded a judas, yet even though i only follow forest rather than support them, it's a big kick in the teeth for them as he is your most experienced creative midfielder and would probably of had a team built around him, and even if derby offered slightly more money than forest surely loyalty has to come into it somewhere as he has had a lot of infuries during his spell at forest and they haven't tried to offload him because of that so as i said earlier a strange move.

tiswas do you think earnshaw will answer your goalscoring problems and bang in twenty to twenty five goals alongside tyson or another expensive flop for forest.

I hope & think Tyson will flourish in the Championship. As for Earnshaw, hopefully the disasterous season he had last season wont affect him. Let's hope they can both hit the ground running next season.

Re - Commons. There was nothing we could do to prevent the transfer. Popular opinion is he was tapped up well before the end of his contract, but I doubt we'll ever know. As he's 24 he's entitled to a bosman transfer. Also yes, I agree, he is a talent but, throughout his time at Forest he was injury prone & has never given a full season. He's a luxury (in my opinion) we can do without.

As far as I know, Cole & Earnshaw haven't kicked a ball in anger during pre season Hopefully there's not alot to read into that, especially in the case of Cole. My only worry is him being injury prone for the season.

Tonight I understand we have Everton at the City Ground ? Should be more of a yard stick to measure just how far we've progressed over the last couple of years.
