Keane gets manager of the month award for the second successive month

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is named as the Championship manager of the month for March.

The Black Cats recorded four wins and a draw from their five league games during the month.

Keane has won the accolade for the season successive month as his side continue their push for promotion.

The other contenders for the monthly award were Coventry's Iain Dowie, Derby's Billy Davies and Brian Laws of Sheffield Wednesday.

Well deserved I think , Keane has done a fabulous job at Sunderland , I think they lost their first 5 or 6 matches , they were in a terrible position when he arrived , if they had had even a half decent start to the season they would have been certs for promotion.
