Championship play-offs

Now we know the line up for the play-offs

Derby will play Southampton & West Brom will take on Wolves.

Derby finished 8 pointa ahead of WBA & Wolves and a further point ahead of the Saints so I would like to see them come through.

The other 3 all go into the play -offs in good form , all having big wins today ,WBA beating Barnsley 7-0 , Southampton beating Southend 4-1 and Wolves winning at Leicester my the same margin.

Who do you fancy to go up with Sunderland & Birmingham ?

I have a sneaking feeling it's going to be Southampton

Because of the sheer importance of the Wolves vs WBA Semi-final I think whoever wins that will win the play-offs.

Bit biased but West Brom. But i agree with wolfie whoever wins will probably go up. If we don't then we could lose 4 players.

Thats the good thing about sundays play-off match, wolves have very little pressure to win because we will keep all of our players and be evn stronger next season.

Wheras if WBA dont go up, they will lose about half the current squad and really struggle next season.

Not sure about very little pressure to win! Wolves have always been a club which consider themselves a Premiership club. Same as Leeds.

He also hasn't got the squad to stay up. We really need a victory on Sunday.

Just had the first player come out and say he wants to leave West Brom. May reconsider if we get promotion to the Premiership. We'll need that F.A Cup form on Sunday!!!

Championship play-offs

I think Derby FC will be promoted but hope it's Wolverhampton Wanderers as they have the greatest unfullied potentiall out of the four clubs in the 2007 Championship play-offs plus if they go up and stay in the Premiership for consecutive seasons or more they will increase their stadium's capacity to 43,000 all-seated!

However Mick MaCarthy and Wolves have never manged to stay up in the Premiership for more than one season in a row.

I think Wolves will enhance the premiership more than any of the other 3 clubs in the long term.

No. Not since McShane came in. Begs the question who'd want him.

Championship play-offs

Some people suggest that the Play-off's should be scrapped.
I coudn't agree more.
The play-offs are fun but not fair.

I think if we have to have the play-offs they should consist of;

Semi-final A: 17th Premiership v 4th in The Championship**
Semi-final B:- 18th in Premiership v 3rd in The Championship**

Final: Winner Semi-Final A v Winner Semi-Final B *

** 2 legged
* 1 legged

What do you think?

West Brom 1-0 Wolves ( agg 4-2)

So it's a Derby v West Brom final.
