Leeds, Ken Bates throwing money around

Is this bugging anyone else (and this isnt a dig at leeds) how he's come down here after cashing in at chelsea and just started throwing money in to the club (which is what caused all there previous problems) buying anyone they fancy and once again building a large wage bill, if i was a Leeds fan id be worried, since i wouldnt be suprised if he stayed for a couple of years and if they fail to get promotion then i have a feeling that he will jump ship and leave them in the learch as from what ive gathered the clubs revenue doesnt cover the current wage bill let alone more high wage players.

But hey i could be wrong its just if it was me i would be worried about a repeat of last time, and maybe there wont be a few consortiums of people who come and throw money down the club

Somewhat agree. With Leeds haveing the finical status they do i dont think its wise that they "splash" the case so to speak.

They are lucky they sold Ferdinand for 30 million as he was never worth that. So i think they are lucky to be in the position they are!

God knows, i do personally think Leeds have the potential to get back to their rightful place.. the premiership. I also agree with you when you seem concenred about Ken Bates splashing money about, does seem abit risky but they seem to be going well in the championship so who knows

They dont belong in the premiership and i think they are living on past glories.

They are currently now slipping down the league table in the championship and lost to the draw specialists Wolves this weekend.

No point in judgin them now, remember palace the season before they got promoted? Had a end of season surge that pushed them into the play-offs :0 that seen them go up. leeds have the potential to get back but wether they could withstand the force of the premiership anymore is unknown. they do seem to have a great youth set up though regarding talent that comes through

Leeds have everything in place for a return to the Premiership. The only thing potentially holding them back in the expierence to go that bit further and confirm promotion.

I think they'll reach the playoffs this season and then who knows, would be great to see them back. Formally one of the greatest teams in the premiership, they deserve to be back

They are one of the teams i feel i dont know what to expect. Someone as stated living on past success.

They have good enough team to reach the playoffs but if they was to go up they would be the Sunderland of the Premiership we have today.

Hmm i beg to differ, Leeds are an attractive side that could probably attract alot of players if they did go up. They will have to start from scratch admittidly but Wigan had to and look at them right now

I think you fail to see they still have debt and they dont have a strong squad.
