Just had a look at the preview, doesn't give a date but it looks like being a big improvement on cm6

Its basically Championship Manager with a new name. Plus in 04 they lost the rights to the players names. (Similar to Pro Evo series)

Therefore The Creators created a new species a.k.a "Football Manager" there is still a Championship Manager series but they dont have name rights to players.

it does indeed. i think i've finally got the hang of it as well, only took about five years. i've managed to win promotion to the SPL with the Jags, and we're currently sitting second, couple of points behind Celtic, couple ahead of Rangers.
