IE7 Launched

IE7 Public Beta has been released:

http://news.com.com/Microsoft+releas...l?tag=nefd.top

Download it here:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...XP-x86-enu.exe

Only works on Windows XP and abve. Please be careful still in beta and some people are already having problems.

However firefox is still much better!

sometimes you have to use IE, since firefox isn't so mainstream. but i think it's popularity is growing ... i have half my office using FF now.

even though those instances of IE usage are few and far between, the amount of crap ad-aware and spybot pick up (even if it's just tracking cookies) just by simply opening the browser window is unbelievable.

Very True. At first i did find the inital change over quite hard as firefox is very different. However being able to customise firefox and had add-ons i want just suits me to the ground.

Also i agree that i do sometimes have to use IE as the site dosent work correctly if not. However overtime i guess firefox will iron this problems out and get a bigger part of the market share

I have used this last month.
It's a good improvement from IE6 but not good enough.
The user-interface is not as good as Firefox's.
Although this is BETA, I believe the Final IE7 will be a good hit.

BTW I find IE7.com funny. Check it out and you will see what I mean.
