vCash: 379 | They are certainly having a tough time at the moment they were beaten 3-0 by Sparta at the weekend. Ajax are renouned for there youth system and I suppose they will always be a massive club in Holland ,but in European terms I don't think they will ever be the force they were again because the Eredivisie just cannot generate the wealth of the big money leagues and therefore cannot compete for top players and such players as the youth system produces will be sold abroad. It's the same situation here in Portugal ,Benfica were true European giants in the 60's but I'm afraid those days are gone for ever. |

vCash: 500 | I think they actually showed the world the way to go in youth developement when they won the Champions league with Kluivert and co but now it may be the case that they have a hard time getting the best young players because clubs are so competitive in that area now. As a result they are certainly suffering now. |
