Holland has 2 champions league places but only the champions qualify automatically , 2nd to 5th play off for the 2nd cl place.

The play off first legs were last night

FC Twente 1-1 AZ
Herenveen1-0 Ajax

Return legs on Sunday

Second leg results

AZ 2-0 FC Twente (agg 3-1)

Ajax 4-0 Herenveen (agg 4-1)

So Ajax & AZ will play off for the 2nd Champions League spot.

Ajax beat AZ Alkmaar 3-0 yesterday to clinch their place in next years champions league with a 4-2 aggregate victory.

It was a good match by Ajax, who clearly had the intention to win this one, while AZ played ultra defensive, playing the ball back and forth between the defender and the goalie all the time.

in the end it was a deserved victory, as Ajax simply has the better players
