Man Utd see RED again

Rooney and scholes have both been sent off in the amsterdam tournement against porto. Rooney for an elbow and Scholes for 2 yellow offences although the second tackle should have been red on its own.

Portuguese at the wind up again? I never seen the game but the reports suggest that Rooney's was not deliberate while Scholes was rash..again.

It seems all Rooney's red cards are harsh.

Maybe he just makes his offences look innocent,.

c'mon guys. if you've actuallu layed the game at any level you will admit that Rooney knew what he was doing and ,again, was trying to be cute. the red card may have been harsh because there wasn't much power in the contact made, but he knew what he was doing. there was no need for his arm to make any contact. he DIFINITELY tried to catch the guy. he is a little , albeit very talented, thug!!

He jumped up for header and pushed his hand down towards the players head. Bu i think some of the talk about Rooney being a dirty player actually gets to him. He thinks he's a hard man, but he's not. He's just a dirty player, a really good player, but dirty.

Rooney will learn the tricks that Shearer has as he gets older and wiser. Rooney needs to have that fire in his belly to be the player that he is, I like it.

Shearer though was a true warrior and yes, was cute with it, dishing out to defenders what they gave him. Rooney on the other hand tends to spit his dummy and lashes out.The boy is petulant. he'll have to learn that 'revenge is a dish best serevd cold'.
