German title hopefuls Schalke 04 must do without Danish international striker Soren Larsen for the next six weeks due to a knee injury.

The 25-year-old Larsen sustained the injury after coming on as a substitute in the closing stages of Sundays 2-0 defeat to Hertha Berlin.

Schalke lie sixth in the Bundesliga table, just a point behind leaders Hertha.
