vCash: 500 | Record win for Barca Barcelona kept up the pace at the top of the Primera Liga table with a record 12th straight win, a 3-1 triumph away to Cadiz. Despite being without Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho due to illness, Barca were far too strong for their hosts and led by two goals at half-time. Ludovic Giuly broke the deadlock just past the half-hour mark and Samuel Eto'o added the second right on half-time, with Eto'o making it 3-0 just three minutes after the restart. Nenad Mirosavljevic netted a last-minute consolation for the home side. Deportivo La Coruna were convincing 3-0 winners at Celta Vigo, doing all the damage in the first half at the Balaidos. Diego Tristan, Juan Carlos Valeron and Juan Capdevila were the scorers for Joaquin Caparros' side. Athletic Bilbao secured a crucial 2-0 victory against rock-bottom Real Betis. The Basques won at their San Mames base thanks to first-half goals from Ismael Urzaiz and Mikel Danobeitia. |
