Capello Assures Beckham

New Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has assured David Beckham that his future lies with the Spanish giants.

His career is on a downward slope and the last thing he needs is more attention with a return to the Premiership.

He's finished anyway. he'd be wise to stay in spain and collect his pension. The Premiership would just pass him by. he doesn't have the legs anymore for that league

i have never understood why so many English folk raved about this guy.

quote: "He can't kick with his left foot, he can't head a ball, he can't tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right."

- George Best

that sums it up and comes from a genuine legend who could all of the above in his sleep (or pissed). Beckham has never ever been in the same class.

He doesn't need any more microscopic analysis of his play, which is what would happen if he moved back to England.

Let him retire in peace over in Spain.

i have never really understood why he was so highly rated. I can understand why gerrad is so highly rated. He is fast, has great movement, always makes great contact with the ball, he is strong and is a great driving force on the field. Beckham: has a great right foot and an ugly wife.

he cant challnge for any of the centre mid roles in england. an in all honesty he isnt a very good right winger i.e he cant beat anyone.

this serves me right for not reading all the posts before i jump in with my view. Yep, George said it right. I remember watching an interview with Best on Parky and he was disgusted that there were so many players about that could only kick with one foot! he was right!! and beckham epitomised this. One trick pony.

my favourite Beckham moment was when he had his little tantrum at France '98, kicked out, got red carded and England crashed out. i found it was highly amusing to watch his fall from grace - infront of an audience of millions, to do something so petty, childish and downright stupid really impressed me.

Actually at that time is never had any grace then to fall from.

Unlike aisuru my favourite Beckahm moment was when he came back from that to become the player thathe was just prior to his move to Real. The culminatin of which was, of course, his free kcick against Greece.
