Match Fixing Punishments Right Or Wrong

All four teams involved in the match fixing scandal have had their punishments
lessened by the appeal judges.
MILAN now only -8 points and are allowed in the champ league qual rounds
LAZIO back in seria A -11 points
FIORENTINA back in seria A -19 points
JUVENTUS seria B -17 points.

Have they got justice or have the authorities bottled it.

Agreed.

Now I read that Juventus are calling the ruling unfair as they are taking all the blame. Better inform them that rigging matches are a little unfair on the opposing teams, fans, bookies, punters etc

They all should have been relegated, by 2 divisions IMO. Any club would think twice about doing it again.

Great club though they are, putting Milan back in the CL smacks of political pressure more than anything - although individuals should have been more harshly punished instead of the clubs, and by definition the fans

ironically, this whole procedure smacks of the very corruption it was supposed to investigate.
also, i think it's vital that those repsonsible receive most of any punishments dished out as heavily punishing the clubs only serves to punish the innocent, mainly the fans of said clubs

Especially as they could be unseeded and play Arsenal etc in the last qual round.

UEFA allow Milan to stay in Europe

Uefa have announced that provisionally Milan can enter the C/L 3round qualifying, with a definite decision on August the 2nd. What a kop out. if they allopw them to compete then it will make a mockery of the game and any integrity it has left.
Milan were found guilty end of. they definitely shouldn't see any Euro football this season.

It certainly does.

You would think that the footballing bodies would be strict enought to stick to the initial punishment, this way is implying to other clubs that if you cheat you will get a slap on the wrist but it will not deter it in the future.

He will certainly still have plenty of pulling power in the corriders of power in Italy.

It wouldn't be beyond the realms of reason that he has had an influence on the new decisions.
