Wenger: "arsenal will be better off when cole leaves"

According to saome of the tuesday morning papers Arsene Wenger has stated that Arsenal will be better off when ashly Cole leaves.

Personally i think he is overated and with the money that they will get from Chelsea I think Wenger is right.

as i have said previously on the forum, as adefender i think he is overated. a good player but suspect at the back sometimes (steady). he's like a younger version of Bobby Carlos.

The FORCE will always triumph over the dark side!!!

He will sign in the most unsurprising transfer of the season so far. He will be a loss to Arsenal, but Clichy is more than adequate cover.

He will fit into Chelsea perfectly, most of the games that Chelsea play are they will be on the offensive, which will suit him. Still a quality defender though.

Would still like Englands number one left back compared to the French number three of four.

Even at the expense of Wenger potentially losing the dressing room

Course you would that's why Man U sold Beckham et al. You don't want a disruptive force in the ranks

By all accounts he has a rather large ego, is this what Wenger means? If so, then I wouldn't want him in the dressing room, take the money and let Wenger develop some new talent. It is certainly one of his strong attributes.

Players now be linked with Arsenal include: Ribery, Hargreaves, Mascherano, Reo-Coker, Baptista and Gravesen. Now that's a lot of Midfielders

I really want him to as well. Obviously if he wanted to come to Tottenham that would be good too but . . . .

Maschereno would be a marlvelous signing for any Premier team. Cant see him staying at Corithians for long.

I can't see him staying after what Wenger has said and there will be more noises from Cole as he fishes for his move. It seems that Arsenal want £25M, quite right too, fleece Chelsea for every penny.

One of Hargreaves, Mascherano or Reo-Coker plus Ribery would be good business.
