Toon Make Wes Brown Bid

Newcastle have reportedly made a bid for Manchester United defender Wes Brown.
The 28-year-old England man will be a free agent in the summer when his Old Trafford deal expires and he recently turned down what Sir Alex Ferguson said was the club's final contract offer.
Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, struggling Newcastle have made a firm offer for him.
Boss Sam Allardyce is under increasing pressure on Tyneside following that 2-0 midweek home defeat by Manchester City.
And he reportedly sees the addition of Brown as key to bolstering his side's shaky defence.
Allardyce is a long-term admirer of Brown, who has spent most of the season deputising for the injured Gary Neville at right-back at Old Trafford.
Ferguson must now decide whether to let Brown go now for a fee or lose him for nothing in the summer.
If he takes the first option it could leave him light at the back with Neville still having to prove his match fitness.
The options behind the skipper are John O'Shea, Danny Simpson and Gerard Pique.

Wes Brown is prone to mistakes, good player, but not a first team Man utd class, fill in from the bench, Newcastle are struggling so I can understand the move.
Hell Danny Mills was signed, by some EPL team? LoL
Not to mention Booboo Balde, is it Bolton that want him? Goodness bloody gracious! LMAO

Ive been saying for sometime now i would love villa to make a bid for wes brown. He would come on a free so you could convince him signing with a nice signing on fee.

John Hartson turned down a coaching job at East Stirlingshire Scotland, Kevin Keegan might be good enough to coach them?

Why would they bother going for Brown. He is an extremely shaky defender and I think thats the last thing Newcastle need.

newcastle need something to tighten up the leaky defence

Interesting fact: On average, real madrid tickets are 25% more expensive than barcelona tickets - and the quality of football is no better! Corporate F*#!ers

Brown is shaky, he is not extremely shaky, hell he even gets picked for the English national team.
Of course it could be looked at being appropriate, Newcastle are a shaky outfit! LoL

we're so far past the shaky stage it's unreal, i'd say gretna have a sturdier defence than the toon at the min and thank god spurs are doing just as bad

Never mind, things can get better, Newcastle have too big of a history to slump too long!
