Shevchenko To Hold Talks With Chelsea

AC Milan confirmed at a press conference that they are to hold talks with Chelsea regarding his transfer to the Premiership champions.

Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said: “ This certainly the most painful divorce since I have been at Milan. We will begin negotiations with Chelsea and it will not be easy.

Shevchenko’s wife is American and it is thought they favour a move to London in order for their son Jordan to learn English.

“ It’s a victory of the English language over the Italian language. I’ve tried to convince him to stay – even one minute prior to the press conference,” added Galianni.

Shevchenko admits it will be a wrench to leave the club he joined from Dynamo Kiev, seven years ago. He added: “ Of course I am saddened because I have seen the looks on the faces of the fans and because of the many messages I have received.

“ My wife and I decided together for the best interests of our family. I don’t speak English, my wife doesn’t speak Ukrainian – the only language we have in common at the moment is Italian. The only way to be able to teach our children our love that we have for them is the English language.”

The Ukrainian hitman found the net 19 times in 28 games last season for Milan club

If he signs can anyone stop Chelsea next season?

that was exactly what i thought. i was just saying that to my wife (like she was listening).
i've said it many times, he's the best hitman in the world. top scorer for something like 5 seasons in Serie A, unfuckin' believable uh!

That might have more chance of happening of he signs for Barca instead of Chelsea
