I think him and Carrick will work alongside each other and is seen as a replacement from Scholes. The two defensive midfielders will counterbalance the attacking force of Ronaldo and who ever replaces Giggs

SAF must know what hes doing to have spent that much on a player, its not as expensive as the £25m we spent on veron or the £19m we spent on ruud, i reckon with owen and michael in the middle will work well and could prove beneficial for when england play internationals

but both of them won't play together for England either it will be one or the other because I can't see McClaren dropping Lampard anytime soon so it probably won't benefit the England squad and may even cause tension between the players having to compete with each other for both club and country.

Hargreaves is an interresting player before the last world cup he was the man England fans loved to hate everywhere you looked on fansites radio phone ins etc people were slagging him off. After the world cup suddenly he was a world beater .

I don't think he was ever as bad as people made him out to be before , neither do I think he is as good as most people seem to think he is now.

Hello to everyone, I am new here and i am a big supporter of Manchester United. I think we need Hargreaves as Scholes is getting older. I still think we need a replacement this summer for Giggs (34) and Neville (33) and a striker to replace the injury prone Saha.

Hargreaves and Scholes aren't really similar players. A good replacement for Scholes would be Wesley Sneijder from Ajax.

hargreaves is going to be as good as roy keane and probably won't get sent off so much, now they should sell carrick and get a decent attacking cm to repalce scholes when he retires as carrick is the most overpriced and overhyped player in the prem to date
