vCash: 480 | New deal for Hogg Hibernian defender Chris Hogg has signed a two-year contract extension to keep him at Easter Road until the summer of 2010. The centre-back, 22, struggled to make an impact in the first team under previous boss Tony Mowbray, who brought him to Edinburgh from Ipswich in January 2005. However he managed to win over Mowbray's successor John Collins and is delighted with the new deal. Hogg told club website Hibernian Football Club "When the new gaffer came in, it was just a case of carrying on the training and trying to impress and hopefully getting a chance in the team. "Obviously you've got to take your chance and towards the end of the season I thought I was doing okay but I still want to do better and I still need to improve in a lot of areas. "I feel that the gaffer can bring that out of me and help me improve a lot this year." |
